About Shawn

Shawn is a partner practicing commercial litigation, family law, real estate and corporate law, and wills and estates. Born in Vancouver and raised in Ontario, he earned an Honours B.A. from McMaster University and his LL.B. from the University of British Columbia, and was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1994. He articled with a well-known insurance defence firm in Hamilton and spent his early career in that field before shifting, from 1996 onward, to family law, real property, and wills and estates. He has represented clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, refinancing, and land use agreements, and has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario. Shawn is a past president of the Haldimand Law Association.
