About Amy-Lynne
Amy-Lynne Williams is a founding partner who retired from active practice at the end of September 2023. She was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1980 after earning her LL.B. from the University of Ottawa and her B.A. from Carleton University. Over more than 35 years, her work touched on software development, electronic publishing, privacy, electronic commerce, technology transfers, systems licensing and acquisition, electronic payments agreements, and outsourcing transactions, representing both producers and users of information technology across private industry and government. She was named repeatedly in Best Lawyers in Canada as Lawyer of the Year for information technology and technology law, and was ranked Band 1 for information technology in the Chambers and Partners Canada and Global guides. Amy-Lynne is a past president of both the Canadian IT Law Association and the International Technology Law Association.
