About Douglas
Doug Deeth is a founding member of Deeth Williams Wall who practices exclusively in intellectual property and technology law, with a focus on litigation and licensing matters. He has particular expertise in chemical and pharmaceutical products and processes, and he provides advice on clearing, protecting, and enforcing technology and IP rights. With more than thirty years of litigation experience, his work has ranged from complex IP disputes to judicial review proceedings and interlocutory injunction applications, and he appears regularly before the Federal Court of Canada and Ontario courts. Doug was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1976 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Toronto and a B.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He is a registered Canadian and U.S. patent and trademark agent, and a past president of both FICPI International and FICPI Canada.
