Sean McGurran is counsel at Torys who advises clients on regulatory issues in the financial services and insurance sectors. Sean has more than ten years of professional experience, split between private practice and senior in-house legal roles at insurance companies. Sean provides counsel on corporate and regulatory matters for clients in the financial services and insurance sectors. Sean's areas of expertise include insurance and warranty product regulation, as well as structuring and negotiating commercial agreements such as white-label and MGA distribution arrangements. Sean also advises and advocates for clients on market conduct issues. Before joining Torys, Sean held the role of Senior Assistant General Counsel and Vice President at Zurich Canada. Sean chaired the Travel Health Insurance Association's Regulatory Affairs Committee for more than four years.
