About Stan

Stan Osobik is an associate at Velletta Pedersen Christie with a practice spanning civil litigation and solicitor work. Raised in Ukraine, he earned a law degree from the National University in Lviv in 2000 before immigrating to Canada in 2001, then completed a diploma in criminology at Douglas College and a JD at the University of Victoria in 2008. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2009 after articling at Crease Harman LLP, where he represented local governments and federal and provincial agencies. He spent seven years as ICBC defence counsel, conducting pre-trial examinations, expert depositions, mediations, and civil trials including a jury trial as lead counsel, and has represented the BC Assessment Authority in property assessment appeals. He also maintains a solicitor's practice in real estate, business purchase and sale, corporate matters, financing, and commercial leasing.
