About Eamon
Eamon Murphy's practice includes Aboriginal title litigation, regulatory hearings, and appellate court work, spanning Aboriginal and treaty rights, Aboriginal title, consultation and accommodation, impact benefit agreements, natural resources, and strategic reconciliation planning. He serves as general counsel for several First Nations and has appeared in courts across British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario, as well as the Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. He graduated from the University of Victoria Faculty of Law in 1997 and was first called to the British Columbia Bar in 1999, later adding Manitoba (2000) and the Law Society of Ontario (2016). In 2025, Lexpert recognized him as a Lexpert-ranked lawyer in Aboriginal law. He has contributed for several years to the CLE publication Due Diligence Deskbook, is a former managing editor of Native Law, and is a member of the Aboriginal Law Subsection, Vancouver Island, of the Canadian Bar Association of BC.
