About Alison

Alison Rhynas is a partner at Velletta Pedersen Christie whose practice is dedicated exclusively to family law. She holds a law degree from the University of Victoria and a 2010 Bachelor of Arts in history from Saint Mary's University in her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Before joining VPC in 2019, she worked for the federal Department of Justice in Vancouver and in legal and compliance at a Victoria marketing company. She represents clients in both Provincial and Supreme Court and regularly negotiates settlements outside of court, and offers unbundled (limited-scope) representation for clients who need it. She's an executive member of the Collaborative Family Law Group, co-chair of the Vancouver Island Women Lawyers' Association, and a member of the Victoria Bar Association and the BC Family Unbundling Roster.
