About Dean

Dean Lawton, K.C. is associate counsel with 40 years' experience handling claims involving complex economic loss and catastrophic injury. He conducts thorough independent investigations and has served as counsel and mediator in hundreds of cases. Lawton earned a B.A. Honours from Simon Fraser University (1976) and an LL.B. from the University of Victoria (1980), was called to the British Columbia bar in 1981, and completed mediator training in 2007. He co-founded the firm as a partner in 1985, later served as president of the Law Society of British Columbia (2021), and has been named to Best Lawyers in Canada for insurance law since 2007.
