Richard Naiberg serves as Consulting Counsel with over three decades of experience in pharmaceutical patent litigation, along with broader work in patent, trademark, copyright and industrial design disputes spanning many industries. He has appeared as counsel in a number of landmark Supreme Court of Canada cases. Richard holds an LL.B. from the University of Toronto and a B.Eng.Sci. from the University of Western Ontario, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1993. Since the early 2000s he has been recognized by domestic and international legal directories for his intellectual property litigation work, including Lexpert, Best Lawyers in Canada, and Euromoney's guide to patent practitioners. His recent files include Patented Medicines Notice of Compliance proceedings involving drugs such as apalutamide and pembrolizumab.
