About Carol
Carol Hitchman is counsel whose work has centered on basic compound patents, formulation patents and use patents, along with extensive litigation over trademarks tied to the appearance of pharmaceutical products. She has written and presented widely on intellectual property topics for the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association, including presentations to Federal Court judges and prothonotaries, and she has taught Patent Agent Tutorials and the McGill Patents course for IPIC. Carol earned her B.A. from the University of Toronto and her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School, and she was called to the Ontario bar in 1984.
