About David

David has practiced intellectual property litigation for more than 30 years. His patent work spans agricultural chemicals, oil field equipment, flooring products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and automotive control systems, and he has also litigated trademark and copyright disputes in industries like food, footwear, apparel, and software. Before joining Sprigings, he was a partner at a national firm, leading its intellectual property group from 2015 to 2022. He holds a B.Sc. and M.A.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Queen's University and the University of Ottawa, and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School. David was called to the Ontario bar in 1992 and speaks regularly on patent litigation and pharmaceutical patent issues.
