About Peter

Gibson's practice is predominantly in insurance law, covering coverage disputes, claims defence, and subrogated matters under automobile, commercial general liability, professional errors and omissions, and disability policies. He has litigated coverage, defence, and subrogated matters before the courts of Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Saskatchewan, argued before their courts of appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, and has extensive mediation and arbitration experience. His litigation work covers major construction projects, industrial accidents and fatalities, employment relations, personal injury, and defamation. Called to the Alberta Bar in 1994 (Northwest Territories 1997, Nunavut 2021), he is a recognized Benchmark Canada litigation star.
