About Lorne

Lorne Folick handles specialty insurance defence litigation at Dolden, acting for major Canadian and U.S. commercial and personal-lines insurers as well as several Lloyd's of London underwriters. His files center on liquor liability, sports and recreation liability, and medical malpractice claims, along with complex multiparty class actions. He has co-authored two texts, Liquor and Host Liability Law in Canada and Sports and Recreation Liability in Canada, and helped build a national network of firm lawyers trained in legal defence coverage matters. Folick lectures as a guest at UBC's law school, sits as an independent board director for Everest Insurance Company of Canada and the Wine Growers of British Columbia, and has been named a Leading Practitioner in commercial insurance litigation by Lexpert.
