About Anthony

Burden leads Field Law's Calgary Dispute Resolution Group and focuses on construction claims, including construction liens, Public Works Act claims, and performance and payment bond disputes, acting for owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants. He also defends Alberta municipalities in injury, building code, and development claims, and has appeared before all levels of Alberta court, the Environmental Appeals Board, and in commercial arbitrations. He is the sole author of a text on the treatment of construction and builders' liens on Crown lands across Canada. Called to the Alberta Bar in 2014, he is recognized as a leading lawyer by Lexpert's Infrastructure special edition and Best Lawyers in Canada for construction law.
