About Mark

Barrett's work includes advising property and casualty insurers on coverage matters spanning a wide range of claim types, and litigating coverage disputes involving bodily injury, property damage, sexual abuse, and first-party property losses. He has also acted in defending errors and omissions, professional liability, product liability, and institutional sexual abuse claims. Before joining Dolden, he was a partner at a Toronto litigation boutique, where his matters included Unifund Assurance Co. v. D.E. and Goodyear Canada Inc. v. American International Companies. Barrett completed an Honours BA summa cum laude at McMaster University in 1986, an MA at McMaster in 1988, and his LL.B. at the University of Toronto in 1994, and was called to the bar in 1996.
