About Barbara

Boeckx is a civil litigator who advises and defends insurers, insureds, and others in high-exposure injury and catastrophic damage claims across Alberta, with a more recent focus on cyber security and emerging technology risk. She handles disputes involving motor vehicle accidents, occupiers' liability, healthcare and fatality inquiries, employment relations, defamation, and manufacturing or design defects, and has represented energy-sector clients in owner-operator litigation. She has appeared before all levels of Alberta court and has extensive alternative dispute resolution experience. Called to the Alberta Bar in 1993, she is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for personal injury litigation and insurance law.
