About Noah

Noah Yao is an associate in McInnes Cooper's Halifax office, where he maintains a broad litigation practice as part of the firm's general litigation, commercial and construction groups. He draws on a background in business and accounting to bring practical solutions to his clients' matters. Noah has represented clients in commercial litigation matters before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, the Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Small Claims Court and various statutory tribunals. He earned his J.D. from the University of New Brunswick, where he volunteered with the Fredericton Legal Advice Clinic, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2025.
