About Teresa

Teresa A. Reguly is a partner at Torys who co-leads the firm's practices in intellectual property and food and drug regulation. She advises clients across the food, pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device sectors on ongoing regulatory needs. Her intellectual property practice covers patentability, infringement, and validity questions in chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical technology, and she drafts and negotiates various licensing and confidentiality agreements. She also advises on Food and Drugs Act compliance, licensing, packaging, labelling, and drug pricing matters. She holds registration as a patent agent in Canada and in 2009 was recognized for earning the highest overall mark on Canada's 2008 patent agent examination. Teresa belongs to several professional groups, including the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Earlier in her career, she held a research associate position at Toronto's Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, prior to joining Torys.
