About Jason

Jason is a partner and chair of the firm's Litigation Group, also a member of the Administrative Law, Regulated Professions, and Indigenous Peoples groups. He is recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada in several areas, including administrative and public law, Aboriginal law, corporate and commercial litigation, and legal malpractice law, and was named 2025 Halifax Lawyer of the Year for legal malpractice and 2022 Lawyer of the Year for administrative and public law. His administrative law practice covers judicial review, regulated professions, human rights and planning matters, and he has appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada. Jason received his King's Counsel designation in 2023 and currently serves as a Commissioner on the Nova Scotia Securities Commission.
