About Neal

Neal Dixon is a criminal defence lawyer with Strategic Criminal Defence, practising out of the firm's Calgary office. Neal has represented clients across all levels of court in Alberta on charges ranging from shoplifting to sexual assault, with particular experience in Immediate Roadside Sanctions and their judicial reviews before the Court of King's Bench. During law school, Neal worked extensively with Student Legal Assistance, the University of Calgary's pro bono clinic, serving as Trial Division Coordinator and later Articling Student, and now coaches the university's Court of Appeal Criminal Moot team. Neal earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2021, winning several academic and moot awards there, and holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Environment from McGill University.
