About Anosha

Anosha Bic is a criminal defence lawyer with Strategic Criminal Defence, practising out of the firm's Calgary office. Anosha holds a Bachelor of Laws, awarded with Honours, from the University of Liverpool, and took part there in the law clinic's immigration work. While at Liverpool, Anosha joined a research project that used IBM Watson to build legal chatbots meant to help people understand their rights, particularly in personal injury matters. Before joining the firm, Anosha articled at Leochko Froese Law on files touching bail, sentencing, and constitutional issues, and previously served as a judicial clerk in the criminal division of a provincial court. Anosha's practice today centers on bail hearings, Charter applications, sentencing, and trial advocacy.
