About Patrick

Patrick Fagan has spent over 35 years defending people charged with criminal offences, with a practice that has included impaired driving, drug prosecutions, assault charges and sexual offence cases. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 1988, graduating on the Dean's Honor List in the top 10 of his class, and won gold medals in the Arnup Cup Trial Competition and the C.B.I.A. National Essay Competition. He was appointed Queen's Counsel (now King's Counsel) in January 2008. His experience as a former drug investigator led courts to accept his testimony as expert evidence on drug use and trafficking. He has defended cases from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island and has been featured in Avenue Magazine, the Calgary Herald and the Alberta Report.
