About Kalim

Kalim leads Affinity Lawyers' corporate/commercial and insurance litigation work. He studied at Trinity College at the University of Toronto before completing a joint Canadian and American LL.B./J.D. program through Windsor and Detroit, graduating in 1999, and was called to the bar in 2000. During his studies he earned a mediation certificate from Stitt Feld Handy and completed an international law program at King's College London covering commercial transactions, maritime law, and Islamic legal theory. He began his career as in-house counsel for a Toronto software company and later worked as a mediator for the Government of Ontario before partnering with Mr. Chehab to form the firm that became Affinity Lawyers. Kalim helped build Islamic finance practice in Toronto, arranging over $100 million with various lenders, and has advised on commercial transactions in China, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
