About Meghan
Meghan Forhan holds the title of Principal at Pender Litigation and has practiced as a trial lawyer for more than ten years. Prior to arriving at the firm, she held the position of Equity Partner at another Vancouver-based boutique criminal defence practice. Meghan's criminal defence work spans serious matters such as sexual assault, drug trafficking, domestic and aggravated assault, firearms charges, and fraud, and she places particular weight on Charter-based arguments. She also practices driving law, representing clients in matters ranging from dangerous and impaired driving to Immediate Roadside Prohibitions and RoadSafetyBC licence suspension cases. Sexual offence defence makes up a considerable share of her caseload, including handling complex section 276 and 278 applications on behalf of clients. Meghan completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Victoria in 2014, was called to the bar in British Columbia the following year, and gained admission to the Yukon bar in 2022. Her presentations include sessions for the Canadian Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, and she contributed to CLEBC's 'Introducing Evidence at Trial' textbook.
