Sarah Leamon is the founder and senior associate lawyer at Sarah Leamon Law Group, focusing on criminal defence with particular experience in impaired driving and sexual assault matters, and handling a broad range of other criminal charges from assault and shoplifting to first- and second-degree murder allegations. She has worked as a full-time Crown Prosecutor and continues to act as an ad hoc Crown counsel in British Columbia. She has represented clients in high-profile matters, including as counsel in the December 2018 bail hearing in the extradition case of the United States against Meng Wanzhou. She is certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and as a Drug Recognition Expert, and has appeared before the House of Commons and the Senate to give testimony on impaired driving and other criminal justice legislation. In 2017 she founded the Women's Association of Criminal Lawyers British Columbia, and she has volunteered with the Peoples Law School and other community organizations.
