About Mae
Mae is a partner whose practice spans union-side labour law, employee-side employment law, professional regulation, human rights, constitutional law, and international human rights matters. The daughter of migrant workers and a former low-wage worker and union organizer, she brings firsthand understanding to her advocacy. She joined Ryder Wright in 2017 and became a named partner in 2022, appearing before courts at every level in Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada. In 2023 she served as co-counsel in the Court of Appeal for Ontario ruling that struck down Bill 124, and has made submissions to the Supreme Court touching on Charter rights such as freedom of expression, freedom of association, and voting rights. Mae was called to the Ontario bar in 2012 and holds LLB and BCL degrees from McGill University.
