About David

David Wright, one of the firm's founding partners, has more than 35 years of experience representing union clients from the public, education and industrial sectors before courts, labour boards, arbitrators and human rights tribunals. He is especially experienced with Charter of Rights cases, judicial review, human rights and accommodation issues, university faculty matters including tenure denials, successor rights, union certification and long-term disability claims. He has acted as counsel in groundbreaking human rights cases that expanded remedies for employees facing workplace discrimination, and he is also known for achieving practical results through mediation. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in Canada for labour and employment law since 2008 and in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. He was admitted to the Ontario bar in 1988 and holds an LLB from the University of Toronto and a BA from the University of Waterloo.
