Clifton Prophet is a partner and head of Gowling WLG's Financial Institutions Litigation Group in Toronto practising insolvency, pensions, and employment benefits law. He advises and represents creditors, debtors, insolvency practitioners, and stakeholders in reorganization, liquidation, and realization proceedings, and provides advice on pensions and employment issues arising in business acquisitions and sales. He appears before Ontario Superior Court, appellate courts, and administrative tribunals including the Financial Services Tribunal.
