About Liza

As a senior associate in McInnes Cooper's litigation group, Liza advocates for clients before all levels of court in Nova Scotia. She handles a wide span of civil litigation work, including real property disputes, shareholder disputes, business disputes, estate litigation, contract disputes, and insurance defence. Liza's insurance defence matters often involve professional negligence, personal injury, property damage, life and disability insurance, and commercial general liability claims. Away from the firm, she draws on a competitive sports background that includes club, provincial, and university rugby. She earned her J.D. from Dalhousie University in 2016 and a B.A. from Concordia University in 2013, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2018.
