Karson Blackwood joined Cheadles LLP as an associate lawyer in 2021 and practices in real estate, wills and estates, and corporate commercial law. Born and raised in Northwestern Ontario, he first completed a welding diploma at Confederation College before earning an Honours Bachelor of Commerce at Lakehead University and his Juris Doctor at the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. While in law school he was part of the team that won the Ontario Trial Lawyers Moot's OTLA Cup for Lakehead University, and he volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, creating a brochure to help community members navigate the legal system after losing a loved one. He is a board member of the Thunder Bay Boys and Girls Club and a volunteer with the Dew Drop Inn.
