Wills, Estates & TrustsKen Ritson is a partner at Cheadles LLP who focuses on corporate law, advising business owners through every stage from incorporation to exit, including financings, mergers, share and asset purchases, and shareholder agreements. He also advises Indigenous entrepreneurs and First Nations on business structure and economic development, and has extensive experience with the Ontario Mining Lands Administration System, providing title opinions for mining companies on patented and unpatented claims. He regularly negotiates exploration, royalty, and acquisition agreements for prospectors and small mining companies. Ken has taught courses for the Canadian Condominium Institute and the Entrepreneur Jumpstart Program and has spoken at Real Estate Board and First Time Home Buyer seminars. He received the Thunder Bay Law Association's 2017 Service to the Profession Award. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010 after earning a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from the University of Guelph and an LL.B. from the University of Calgary.
