Business & Corporate LawJulie is a board member and partner in the firm's Halifax office, with a practice focused on Canadian and cross-border corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She represents companies in capital markets matters, including public and private securities offerings, stock exchange listings, going-public transactions and M&A, and works extensively with emerging and high-growth companies on venture capital and private equity financings. Julie also assists organizations with developing and assessing their governance frameworks and advises on best practices. She is a member of the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association's Model Documents Working Group. Julie earned her J.D. from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2010 and a B.Comm. from Dalhousie University in 2007, and was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 2011 and admitted in New York in 2017.
