Arron Chahal

About Arron

Arron Chahal is an associate focusing on corporate and securities law, particularly capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and matters involving corporate governance and activism. He has represented issuers and investment banks in a number of public offerings and private placements involving debt and equity, and he regularly counsels public company clients on governance, stock exchange, and securities law questions. While at law school, Arron reached the semi-final round of the 2018 Harold G. Fox Moot in Canadian intellectual property law and won the Gordon F. Henderson Award for best appellant factum, along with the Laskin prize for finishing first in his first-year University of Toronto class in constitutional law. At the University of Ottawa, he received the Faculty Plaque in Economics for achieving the top academic standing in the 2016 graduating class. Before joining Torys, Arron was a corporate associate at a Toronto law firm practicing corporate and commercial law, and during his articling term he was seconded to the Royal Bank of Canada.
