About John
John Alsbergas practises capital markets law with a growing focus on mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, initial public offerings, and venture capital, alongside advising issuers on securities compliance, stock exchange requirements and disclosure obligations. He works with companies in sectors such as technology, cannabis, life sciences and natural resources, having acted on numerous IPOs and private placements. Alsbergas earned his JD at Western University, where he won the David L. Johnston Prize in Securities Regulation, and holds a BA with high distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2019 and is a member of the Canadian and Vancouver Bar Associations.
