Christian Abouchaker practises business law with particular attention to mergers, acquisitions and private equity transactions, drawing on time spent working in both the Canadian and New York markets. Abouchaker acts for private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, and strategic buyers and sellers on domestic and cross-border deals across many industries, and also handles corporate governance, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance work. Before rejoining McMillan, Abouchaker practised at international firms in New York, and was called to the Quebec bar in 2015 and the New York bar in 2018, holding degrees from UQAM, Université de Montréal and NYU School of Law. Best Lawyers named Abouchaker a 2026 One to Watch in M&A.
