About Joël
Joël Turgeon joined Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall in October 2024 as Partner and Head of the Restructuring and Insolvency Group. He is called to the bars of both Quebec and Ontario and represents clients in restructuring, receivership and bankruptcy proceedings, including under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, and regularly acts for purchasers of distressed assets and interim and DIP lenders. Turgeon appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including the Toronto and East Region Commercial Lists, as well as the Ontario and Quebec Courts of Appeal and the Quebec Superior Court. He earned his law degree from Laval University in 2016, was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2017 and the Ontario Bar in 2020, and has been recognized as a Best Lawyers Ones to Watch in insolvency and financial restructuring.
