About Jeysa
Jeysa Martinez practices corporate and commercial law with a focus on banking and financial services, commercial financing, and secured transactions, representing financial institutions and corporate clients. Her work includes corporate reorganizations and acquisitions, sales of businesses and commercial real estate, drafting complex agreements, and structuring security, along with financing for First Nations on- and off-reserve developments. She also handles commercial leasing, including leases on First Nations lands and property leased for solar and wind energy projects. Before joining her current firm, Jeysa practiced at a global firm, a national firm, and as in-house counsel at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. She was called to the bar in 2007, holds an LLB from the University of Manitoba (2005) and a BA from Carleton University (2000), and is fluent in English and Spanish.
