About Ian

Ian Klaiman is co-managing director and a litigator focused on commercial matters along with bankruptcy and insolvency work. He advises a wide client base that includes banks and other financial institutions, private companies, insurers, creditors on both the secured and unsecured side, debtors, and professionals working in insolvency. His general civil and commercial litigation practice emphasizes debtor-creditor disputes, security enforcement, and insurance matters. He has appeared before every level of court in Ontario, including the Commercial List and the Divisional Court. In law school he made the dean's list, won an award for legal writing, and clerked for the Alberta Court of Appeal. He earned his LLB from the University of Alberta in 2009 and was called to the bar in 2010.
