About Anthony
Anthony O'Brien has more than thirty years of experience in corporate and commercial litigation and insurance defence. His clients include major insurance companies handling personal injury and product liability matters, financial institutions, and trustees in bankruptcy and receivers before the Bankruptcy Court and Commercial List. Tony reviews the financial circumstances of individuals and companies to determine whether fraud, mismanagement or simple misfortune is at play, then recommends a balanced approach for his clients. He has represented clients in both jury and non-jury trials at all levels of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, including Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. He earned his LL.B./J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1985 after two years of undergraduate study at the University of Western Ontario, and was called to the bar in 1987. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association and the Toronto Lawyers Association.
