About Rufaida
Rufaida Hashmi is an associate at Torys LLP in Toronto. Her practice covers corporate and securities law, with particular attention to capital markets deals, M&A and corporate governance matters. During law school, Hashmi served as senior editor and director of recruitment for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and was president of the Osgoode Privacy Law Society, graduating in the top 9 percent of her class. She has also mentored students through the Law in Action Within Schools program, which uses legal education to help high schoolers succeed and stay engaged in their communities.
