About Ian

Ian is a partner in the firm's Halifax office with a broad general litigation practice focused on insurance and commercial litigation. He also advises on labour and employment, real estate, administrative law, corporate and commercial matters and estate planning, and has appeared before administrative tribunals and all levels of court in Nova Scotia. He serves on the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia's Bench and Bar Liaison Committee and has taught at Cape Breton University and at Dalhousie University's Schulich School of Law. Ian earned his LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 2011 and a B.A. from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2007. He was called to the Prince Edward Island bar in 2012 and the Nova Scotia bar in 2014.
