About James
James S. Quigley conducts a commercial litigation practice representing financial institutions, lease finance companies, secured and unsecured creditors, and trustees in bankruptcy. Over his career he has worked in mortgage enforcement, real estate development, commercial financing, and municipal and leasing law, and has handled Planning Act issues and title repair matters. He appears regularly before the Bankruptcy Court and the Toronto Civil List, and has argued cases at the Ontario Court of Appeal and Federal Court. A particular focus of his practice is pursuing civil fraud claims, including overturning fraudulent conveyances and transfers at undervalue on behalf of creditor clients. He earned his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1998, an M.A. from McMaster University in 1997, and a B.A. from McMaster in 1994, and was called to the bar in 2000.
