About Linda

Linda Galessiere is a partner whose practice covers corporate commercial litigation, property leasing disputes, and retail bankruptcy and insolvency matters. She also acts for both employers and employees in employment law disputes and has handled product liability and construction contract cases. Linda routinely appears in the Ontario Commercial Court on behalf of landlords in retail insolvency proceedings, and over the past two decades she has been involved in nearly every major Canadian retail insolvency, including cases tied to Sears, Target, Toys R Us, and Nordstrom. She served as a working group member for the Uniform Law Conference of Canada's review of commercial tenancies legislation. Linda was called to the bar in 1993 after earning her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, and Thomson Reuters has named her a Stand-out Lawyer.
