Real Estate LawGary is a partner in the firm's Charlottetown office and a member of McInnes Cooper's Board of Directors, with a practice focused on business law, corporate finance, commercial real estate transactions and immigration law. He represents local, national and international clients in Prince Edward Island on financings, mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, startups, reorganizations, commercial real estate development and business immigration. Gary's transactional experience includes acquisitions and financings of PEI-based companies and secured financing transactions involving borrowers and guarantors across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. He has served as the firm's Office Lead Partner for PEI and is active in the community, including as a past director of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce and past Chair of the Provincial Easter Seals Society Fundraising Campaign. Gary earned his LL.B. from the University of New Brunswick in 1992, an LL.M. from the London School of Economics in 1993, and a B.Sc. from Bishop's University in 1988. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1994, the Prince Edward Island bar in 1995, and the New Brunswick bar in 2018.
