About Mathieu

Mathieu Poirier's practice centers on mergers and acquisitions, guiding clients through business purchases and sales from early negotiations through closing. He advises lenders and borrowers on secured financing transactions, including the structuring of security and enforcement of creditor rights, and counsels clients on commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leasing. Poirier also advises on corporate governance and shareholder matters, including drafting shareholder agreements and representing clients in shareholder disputes, and on securities law matters including share offerings. He holds the TEP designation from the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and earned a B.B.A. from Université de Moncton in 2001 and an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 2004. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and the New Brunswick bar in 2006.
