About Esra

Esra Yacout practises across insurance defence, plaintiff injury, employment law, and commercial litigation in Richards Buell Sutton's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, and has appeared in multiple Supreme Court trials and contested applications. During law school she won first place in the Wilson Moot written submissions and received the Norton Rose Fulbright Property Law Award. She volunteers with Access Pro Bono and the Canadian Bar Association's Women Lawyers Forum, and is an incoming Member at Large of the CBABC Employment Law Section Executive for 2026-2027. She holds a J.D. from Thompson Rivers University (2018) and a B.A. from the University of British Columbia (2013), and was called to the bar in 2019.
