About Balpreet

Balpreet Singh Khatra is an associate at Turner & Co. who was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2020. He has appeared and assisted counsel in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and the Provincial Court of British Columbia. His practice is primarily in commercial litigation, including debt collection, foreclosures, contract disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, insurance litigation, civil fraud proceedings, and bankruptcy and insolvency matters, and he often represents developers, contractors, vendors, and purchasers in real estate and construction-related litigation. He also assists clients with commercial transactions, including the purchase and sale of businesses and real estate, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, and acting as corporate counsel for privately held companies. Balpreet attended the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom before earning his LL.B. (Honours) and LL.M. (Common Law) at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. He also holds a BBA (Honours) from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University, with specializations in finance and human resources management.
