About Katie
Katie Tucker is a partner at JFK Law's Montreal office who acts for First Nations and Inuit clients across Canada, with particular emphasis on Ontario and Quebec. She has worked in private practice, as in-house counsel for a modern treaty organization, and in environmental and social justice organizations, and has appeared before trial and appellate courts including the Supreme Court of Canada. Katie's practice covers pre-Confederation, historic, and modern treaties, including Indigenous governance, fiscal financing, co-management, and nuclear waste management negotiations. She holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School and an LL.B./BCL from McGill University, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008 and the Barreau du Québec in 2012.
