About David

David Cayley specializes in commercial litigation for companies and individuals, handling contract disputes, property disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence claims, and defamation claims, with particular expertise in joint real property ownership disputes. He advises clients on early dispute assessment, risk mitigation, and collapsing transactions, and conducts trials and appellate advocacy across all B.C. court levels along with arbitrations and mediations. He holds a J.D. from the University of Victoria (2009) and a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario (2004), and was called to the bar in British Columbia in 2010. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Law Society of British Columbia.
