About Nassim
Nassim Baharian is an associate in the Insurance, Commercial Litigation and Construction and Infrastructure groups at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP. She runs a general civil and commercial litigation practice with an emphasis on insurance defence and construction disputes, and has handled matters ranging from enforcing foreign arbitral awards in British Columbia to commercial leasing disputes and creditor remedies. She has represented clients in court proceedings at every level in British Columbia and regularly appears for them in trials, mediations and arbitrations. Before moving to Canada, Nassim practised commercial business litigation in Iran, and she now mentors law students and publishes educational legal articles in Farsi for the province's Farsi-speaking community. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2017, holds an LL.M. in Common Law from the University of British Columbia and an LL.B. from Shahid Beheshti University, and serves as a board member of the Allard School of Law alumni association and vice chair of an inquiry committee for the College of Complementary Health Professionals of British Columbia.
